BA English Essay: Life in a Village
Life in a village
There are two lifestyles which are pillars of a country’s economy. One of them is urban lifestyle and the other is village life. Both of these are essential and work hand in hand for country’s prosperity. In the following paragraphs, I am going to analyze the merits and demerits of village life. Village is a place where number of residents is low and the major occupation of population is farming. The villagers are directly or indirectly dependent on the agriculture or cattle breeding for their incomes. Due to the farming lands around the dwellings, the population density is also very low. Villagers are usually simple and contended people.
The villages are natural settlements are less prone to the pollution. The food, crops and meat are pure and the prices of commodities are also very low because of their production in the same area. Rural lifestyle is also very peaceful and harmonious as it is far away from humming of gadgets and buzzing of technology. People cultivate crops and women also take an equal part in the farming. People are more sensitive and considerate towards each other. The grief and happiness are mutually shared and the people are more protected.
On the contrary with all of these benefits people are still attracted towards urban life. The major cause of it is the lack of facilities and opportunities in the area. The educational institutions and medical facilities are not provided and hence people have to travel great distances to use such centers.
Provision of basic necessities is the right of every citizen. So, villages must be equipped with modern medical and educational facilities for the convenience of villagers. In this way we will achieve equilibrium in the population of both centers and our rural centers can also flourish.
