Does modern technology make life more convenient, or life was better when technology was simpler?

It does seem that modern technology make our life more easier and comfortable but people become more tense now a days as compared to earlier. People have to be active at all the time to learn new things or technologies every day. There are lot of technologies everywhere even when you are sleeping you need an alarm which wake up you. You need an microwave oven that can bake your brake fast . we can’t do anything without an computer, in our earlier times people had some sort of activities which they did in their spare time like met with relatives , and got together with their friends and families but now it seems difficult for people because of technology has become very vast now a days. People like to spend their time with computer and they don’t want to meet anyone. Physical activities are completely down with this rising new technologies  everyday. People preferred to watch movie in front to television rather than to go for a walk or for jogging or for any sort of sports. In rural areas, life were very much healthier because there were not any sort tension, but technology is moving very vastly in  the rural areas as well .
