King Edward Medical University
The Lahore medical college, founded in 1860 was renamed as King Edward medical college in 1911. It was granted the independent, degree awarding status of university in 2005. It is the second oldest medical school in South Asia. The mayo hospital is the attached hospital of university. The university’s main campus is located at the center of city of Lahore. The students of the university are working in reputed hospitals in Pakistan and abroad.
