Weather and Climate
Weather is the state of atmosphere for a short period of time on particular area to the degree that it is hot or cold wet or dry , calm and stormy. Weather is not the same everywhere in a region for example in whole Punjab the weather will be different in various cities of punjab. Perhaps it is hot, dry and sunny today where you live, but in other parts of the world it is cloudy, raining or even snowing. Daily, weather conditions are recorded and predicted by meteorologists worldwide.
Common weather conditions include wind, cloud, rain, snow, fog and dust storms. Less common events include natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes and ice storms. Weather occurs primarily due to air pressure differences between one place to another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot, which varies by latitude from the tropics.
Climate is the average weather atmospheric conditions in a place over longer period of time. So, the climate of Dubai is quite different than the climate of a Europe. Hot summer days are quite typical of climates in many regions of the world, even without the effects of global warming.
A region’s climate is generated by the climate system, which has five components: atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, land surface, and biosphere.
