Centuries before the adoption of numeral system, abacus was in use in Europe, Russia and China, as a calculating tool. Today, abacuses are constructed as a bamboo frame with beads sliding on wires, but originally they were beans or stones. Although today many use calculators, but they are still used to teach math’s to children.
